ESMO 2024 | KEYNOTE-811: final OS results of pembrolizumab, trastuzumab and chemotherapy in G/GEJ

Yelena Janjigian, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, comments on the final overall survival (OS) analysis of the Phase III KEYNOTE-811 study (NCT03615326), which assessed first-line pembrolizumab with trastuzumab and chemotherapy in patients with unresectable, HER2+ metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer (mG/GEJ). The combination significantly improved OS and progression-free survival (PFS) compared to placebo plus trastuzumab and chemotherapy. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
