Kushal Kriplani, MBBS, SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Brooklyn, NY, discusses the results of a retrospective multi-institutional study examining surgical resection versus stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). He highlights that surgical resection was associated with better overall survival (OS) compared to SBRT, although prospective validation is needed to confirm these observational findings. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
