Kushal Kriplani, MBBS, SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Brooklyn, NY, discusses the results of a retrospective multi-institutional study examining surgical resection versus stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). He highlights that surgical resection was associated with better overall survival (OS) compared to SBRT, although prospective validation is needed to confirm these observational findings.
