GU Cancers 2025 | LITESPARK-005: subgroup analysis of belzutifan efficacy in ccRCC

Guillermo de Velasco, MD, PhD, Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre, Madrid, Spain, explores findings from the Phase III LITESPARK-005 study (NCT04195750) of belzutifan versus everolimus in patients with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) who have progressed on anti–PD-(L)1 and VEGF-targeted therapy. Results show significant improvements in progression-free survival and objective response rate with belzutifan, consistent across subgroups based on baseline disease characteristics and tumor burden. However, no overall survival benefit was observed. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
