Nikolaos Trikalinos, MD, MS, Washington University, St. Louis, MO, discusses novel therapeutic regimens under investigation for the treatment of extrapulmonary neuroendocrine carcinomas. Whilst platinum-based therapies were previously utilized, research is underway to asses nanoliposomal irinotecan (nal-IRI) or FOLFOX-based treatments in patients.
