PRIMO 2023 | Reducing outcome inequalities in cervical cancer with HPV vaccines

Don Dizon, FACP, FASCO, MD, Brown University, Providence, RI, discusses disparities in the diagnosis and management of cervical cancer, where black people often report poorer outcomes. Access to novel therapeutics such as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) are additionally limited to higher income countries. Increased uptake of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine will also reduce outcome inequalities, and hence increase survival rates in marginalized communities. This interview took place at the Practical Recommendations in Immuno and Molecular Oncology (PRIMO) 2023 Congress in Honolulu, HI.
