ASCO 2024 | Integrating immunotherapy and targeted therapy with TACE in uHCC treatment

Stephen Lam Chan, MD, FRCP, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China, discusses integrating immunotherapy and targeted therapy with transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC). Cross-trial comparisons show the EMERALD-1 regimen (NCT03778957) has a comparable safety profile, even with TACE. This regimen offers an additional option for patients with high disease burden seeking aggressive treatment. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
