GU Cancers 2025 | Evaluating ADC-based combination therapies in urothelial carcinoma

Salvador Jaime-Casas, MD, City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center, Duarte, CA, discusses findings from a systematic review of clinical trials assessing antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) combinations in advanced urothelial carcinoma. Enfortumab vedotin- and sacituzumab govitecan-based regimens were found to have high response rates but also significant toxicity, with notable adverse events including neutropenia, anemia, and diarrhea. These results emphasize the need for further trials to optimize ADC-based combinations, balancing efficacy with tolerability in this patient population. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
