Stella Aguinaga Bialous, RN, DrPH, FAAN, University of California San Francisco School of Nursing, San Francisco, CA, talks on the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC) Tobacco Control Position Statement, which is currently undergoing revisions. Developing guidance on vaping and e-cigarettes is a key challenge, and the ISNCC is looking at guidance from the World Health Organisation to assist this. Another key area is emphasising the importance of providing patients with smoking cessation support after they have received a cancer diagnosis, which has been shown to improve patient outcomes. This interview took place at the virtual 2022 International Conference on Cancer Nursing (ICCN).
