Narjust Duma, MD, of the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, Madison, WI, outlines how social media can be used to connect patients and healthcare professionals to important resources as discussed in a recently published review. Dr Duma discusses the example of osimertinib, an EGFR inhibitor used in the treatment of lung cancer and a treatment associated with cardiac toxicities, and how social media can be used to collaborate between healthcare professionals of different specialties.
