ESMO GI 2026 | Four-year real-world outcomes of atezolizumab and bevacizumab in HCC

Julien Edeline, MD, PhD, Centre Eugene Marquis, Rennes, France, discusses four-year follow-up data from the CHIEF French cohort, a real-world prospective study of atezolizumab plus bevacizumab in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Despite a complex population with frequent portal hypertension and cirrhosis, survival remained durable. Some responders achieved curative-intent conversion through transplant, resection, or ablation. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Gastrointestinal Cancer 2026 Congress in Munich, Germany.
