WCLC 2023 | Unmet needs of geriatric patients with lung cancer

Shalini Vinod, MBBS, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, discusses unmet needs in the management of geriatric patients with lung cancer. A large proportion of patients with lung cancer are over 70 years old and thus have specific health considerations related to their age, such as cognitive status, nutrition, co-morbidities and mobility. Dr Vinod suggests that these characteristics are not considered when taking patient history for lung cancer due to a lack of training in those areas. This interview took place at the 2023 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in Singapore, Singapore.
