GU Cancers 2025 | KEYMAKER-U03: targeted therapy combinations for ccRCC in substudy 03B

Tian Zhang, MD, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, comments on findings from Substudy 03B of the KEYMAKER-U03 trial (NCT04626518) of pembrolizumab and targeted therapy combinations in advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Lenvatinib plus belzutifan demonstrated durable antitumor activity, while pembrolizumab with belzutifan showed a manageable safety profile. Adverse events were consistent with known drug effects, though serious events occurred in some cases. These results support further investigation of lenvatinib and belzutifan combinations, including in ongoing trials like LITESPARK-011 (NCT05239728). This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
