WCLC 2023 | Unmet needs in palliative care for patients with lung cancer

Gary Rodin, MD, FRCPC, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto, Canada, discusses the unmet needs in palliative care for patients with lung cancer, including the lack of access to palliative care, loss of control of psychological distress at the start of lung cancer, and the relief of physical symptoms later on in the disease. Dr Rodin emphasises the importance of investing equal amounts of attention to relieving patients’ suffering and prolonging their survival. This interview took place at the 2023 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in Singapore, Singapore.
