ASCO 2022 | Developing personalized therapeutic cancer vaccines for melanoma

Allison Betof Warner, MD, PhD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, discusses personalized therapeutic cancer vaccine development. Cancer vaccines have yet to gain success within the field of melanoma, however, personalized mRNA vaccines are showing promise with early efficacy signals. A predominant challenge faced with cancer vaccines are their production time. Clinical trials are currently utilizing other treatment modalities preceding delivery of the vaccine during production time which will be the standard until production time is successfully decreased. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2022 Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL.
