Filiz Oezkan, MD, University Hospital Essen, Essen, Germany, provides an overview of her presentation at the IASLC 2022 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress, commenting on the evolution of chemotherapies to the combination of chemotherapies plus immunotherapies. Immunotherapies with or without combination with either chemotherapy or additional immunotherapies have recently been moved to the first-line of treatment of patients with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Dr Oezkan compared the differences in response to these treatments depending on PD-L1 expression levels.
