Alexis Ann LeVee, MD, City of Hope, Duarte, CA, discusses a Phase I/II study (NCT02778685) of palbociclib, pembrolizumab, and endocrine therapy (ET) in patients with HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer (MBC). Cohort 1 included patients with stable disease and received palbociclib with ET for at least 6 months, whereas the other two cohorts received combination therapy in the first line setting. A higher overall response rate (ORR) was reported in patients receiving the combination therapy, particularly in the first-line setting. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
