ESMO 2024 | CheckMate 901: HRQoL findings of nivolumab and gemcitabine-cisplatin in UC
Guru Sonpavde, MD, AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Orlando, FL, explores the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) outcomes from the Phase III CheckMate 901 trial (NCT03036098) of nivolumab plus gemcitabine-cisplatin in cisplatin-eligible patients with untreated unresectable or metastatic urothelial cancer (UC). Results showed minimal impact of nivolumab plus gemcitabine-cisplatin on HRQoL compared to gemcitabine-cisplatin alone, supporting its use as a first-line therapy in this patient population. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
