ESMO 2024 | Emerging neoadjuvant therapies for metastatic melanoma at ESMO 2024
Hildur Helgadottir, MD, PhD, Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden, gives an overview of current approaches and emerging treatments for melanoma. For patients in the metastatic setting, neoadjuvant therapy, particularly PD-1 monotherapy or combination therapies, remains the standard of care. However, there is anticipation surrounding results from trials using RNA vaccines, which represent one of the most promising potential treatment advancements in the management of melanoma. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
