Jennifer Ligibel, MD, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, comments on the role of non-pharmacologic interventions in managing side effects of breast cancer treatments, such as endocrine therapy and chemotherapy. Exercise can reduce fatigue, improve quality of life and cardiorespiratory fitness, as well as preventing lymphedema after surgery. Other therapies like acupuncture and yoga can also alleviate joint pain, fatigue, and sleep issues. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
