Saman Maleki, PhD, Lawson Health Research Institute, London, Canada, discusses a recent study on the combination of fecal microbial transplantation from healthy donors with immune checkpoint inhibitors for first-line melanoma treatment. A promising objective response rate was reported in patients receiving the fecal transplant in combination with either pembrolizumab or nivolumab.
