Julian Kӧtt, MD, University Medical Center Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany, highlights the need for additional prospective data to analyze the metastasis progression and overall survival of patients with high-risk melanoma. Gene expression profiling (GEP) has demonstrated promising results in the detection of high-risk melanoma and protein signatures from GEP can be used to provide more personalized treatment options for patients in the future.
