Roger Li, MD, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL, provides a brief overview on the joint mechanism of action for oncolytic viruses and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) to induce tumor cell death. Oncolytic viruses release cancer neoantigens to activate the innate immune system and ICIs reinvigorate the T-cells to boost antitumor activity. This interview took place at the 39th Annual Meeting SITC 2024 at Houston, TX.
