Michael Schweizer, MD, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Seattle, WA, discusses findings from a randomized dose-expansion study (NCT03460977) of mevrometostat, an EZH2 inhibitor, with enzalutamide in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). The combination demonstrated improved radiographic progression-free survival and prostate-specific antigen response compared to enzalutamide alone, with a manageable safety profile. Further research is needed to refine dosing strategies and confirm clinical benefits. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
