Matthew Campbell, MD, MS, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, outlines the multifaceted considerations in manging metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) treatment beyond progression from immunotherapy (IO). Considerations include metastasis speed and tumour location, radiation therapies and ablation strategies in minimal progression cases, as well as the role for belzutifan, multi-kinase inhibitors and other VEGFR therapies in more advanced progression. Mechanisms of immunotherapy resistance are also mentioned. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
