Kevin Kalinsky, MD, MS, Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, GA, discusses the ongoing debate about the necessity of chemotherapy for certain patients with breast cancer, particularly those with high genomic scores and clinical risk factors. Ongoing studies, such as the NRG-BR009 OFSET trial (NCT05879926), will aim to address these controversies and the need for different models to discriminate who benefits from chemotherapy. The role of ovarian function suppression with CDK4/6 inhibitors in premenopausal women is also a topic of debate. This interview took place at the 2025 St. Gallen International Breast Cancer Consensus Meeting in Vienna, Austria.
