Evangelia Razis, MD, PhD, Hygeia Hospital, Marousi, Greece, discusses the evolving strategies to translate insights from real-world registries into effective clinical trial design for leptomeningeal disease (LMD) in breast cancer. She highlights recent initiatives, including the development of standardized criteria such as the ESMO Guidance for Reporting Oncology real-World evidence (GROW) guidelines, and efforts to clarify research priorities to ensure meaningful, resource-efficient outcomes. These frameworks aim to enhance the reproducibility and impact of future trials in this underserved patient population.
