ASCO 2025 | Racial disparities in TNBC outcomes with neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy

Zunairah Shah, MD, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, Buffalo, NY, comments on findings from an analysis assessing racial disparities in patients with early-stage triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) treated with neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy. While pathologic complete response rates were comparable across racial groups, Black patients experienced worse overall survival despite adjustment for clinical and socioeconomic variables. This interview took place during the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
