Neal Shore, MD, FACS, Carolina Urologic Research Center, Myrtle Beach, SC, discusses final overall survival results from the Phase III EMBARK trial (NCT02319837) of enzalutamide plus leuprolide or enzalutamide monotherapy versus leuprolide alone in patients with high-risk biochemically recurrent (hrBCR) prostate cancer. Combination therapy significantly reduced the risk of death compared with leuprolide alone and delayed disease progression and skeletal events. These findings confirm the long-term survival and clinical benefits of enzalutamide-based therapy as a standard of care in this patient population. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2025 Congress in Berlin, Germany.
