ASCO 2026 | ctDNA prognostic model for rPFS in mCRPC: Alliance A031201 analysis

Susan Halabi, PhD, FSCT, FASA, FASCO, Duke Cancer Institute, Durham, NC, describes the development of a circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA)-based clinical-genetic prognostic model for radiographic progression-free survival (rPFS) in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), using data from the Alliance A031201 trial (NCT01949337). Integrating genomic and clinical variables, the model robustly stratified patients into distinct risk groups, supporting its potential to inform individualized risk assessment and treatment intensification strategies in the first-line androgen receptor pathway inhibitor setting. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
