ESTRO 2026 | One-Stop SABR: same-day sim-plan-and-treat single fraction SABR for early lung cancer

Neil Wallace, MD, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia, discusses findings from the One-Stop SABR (ACTRN12624001431516) trial evaluating the feasibility and patient acceptability of same-day sim-plan-and-treat single fraction stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR) for early lung cancer. Treatment was found to be feasible and acceptable by patients, with positive patient satisfaction reported. Dr Wallace highlighted cross-departmental communication and patient comfort as key aspects which ensured success of the treatment. This interview took place at the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology 2026 Congress in Stockholm, Sweden.
