Julien Edeline, MD, PhD, Centre Eugene Marquis, Rennes, France, describes treatment modalities in locally advanced biliary tract cancer. Standard of care for these patients has typically been chemotherapy with immunotherapy, however data has shown that this combination could also be integrated with locoregional treatment including external beam radiotherapy (EBRT), hepatic arterial infusion (HAI) chemotherapy or selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT). Dr Edeline also highlights targets that may be suitable for locoregional treatment. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Gastrointestinal Cancer 2026 Congress in Munich, Germany.
