Dirk Arnold, MD, PhD, Asklepios Tumorzentrum Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany, shares insights in the CIRSE Emprint Microwave Ablation Registry (CIEMAR) (NCT03775980), which evaluated ablative treatment for colorectal liver metastases with curative intent. Standard risk factors were still relevant, including the ablation zone and the size of metastases, and ablative treatment was able to achieve between 6 and 9 months without any further treatment to the liver, showing good disease control. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Gastrointestinal Cancer 2026 Congress in Munich, Germany.
