Joana Ribeiro, MD, Institut Gustave Roussy, Villejuif, France, discusses first results from the Phase II UNLOCK 14 – POP-DURVA trial (NCT05215106), which assessed short-course preoperative durvalumab monotherapy in patients with stage I triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Treatment was well tolerated and induced rapid immune remodeling of the tumor microenvironment, despite low pathological complete response and radiological response rates. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2026 Congress in Madrid, Spain.
