Brian Slomovitz, MD, Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Center, Miami, FL, discusses the limitations of KEYNOTE-C93/GOG-3064/ENGOT-en15 study (NCT05173987) comparing a first-line pembrolizumab to chemotherapy alone in in mismatch repair-deficient (dMMR) advanced or recurrent endometrial carcinoma. While the results will not immediately replace the current standard of chemotherapy plus immunotherapy, the study did show improvement in progression-free survival, duration of response, and quality of life. The investigational regimen may be an option for patients prioritizing a chemotherapy-free treatment with reduced side effects. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2026 Congress in Madrid, Spain.
