Marco Donia, MD, PhD, Copenhagen University Hospital, Herlev, Denmark, discusses the toxicities associated with tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) and T-cell receptor (TCR) cell therapies, highlighting that most toxicities are acute and occur during hospital admission. The main differences in toxicities between TILs and TCR cell therapies lie in their sources, with TILs being associated with the entire treatment regimen, including surgery, preconditioning chemotherapy, and IL-2 infusion, whereas TCR cell therapy toxicities are more related to the cell product itself and its specific recognition properties. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2026 Congress in Madrid, Spain.
