Speaking on clinical trials and biomarker research in SCLC
Prof. Gronberg specializes in small-cell lung cancer (SCLC), with a focus on clinical trials evaluating new treatment strategies, including radiotherapy and immunotherapy. He also serves as PI for multiple randomized studies assessing therapeutic outcomes in both limited and extensive-stage SCLC. His translational research explores the predictive and prognostic value of biomarkers such as ctDNA and microRNA, aiming to personalize treatment. He also investigates how comorbidity, frailty, and functional status influence cancer care, particularly in older patients.
