VJVirtual | Understanding the role of TLS in sarcoma treatment: a key to unlocking immunotherapy potential

Javier Martin-Broto, MD, PhD, Fundación Jimenez Diaz University Hospital, Madrid, Spain, highlights the importance of tertiary lymphoid structure (TLS) as a robust biomarker for immunotherapy in sarcoma, with its detection correlated with a higher probability of response in patients. However, the limitation of TLS lies in the need for expert pathologists to detect its presence, which may require training, and the relatively low proportion of patients (20%) that express this biomarker. This interview was recorded via an online conference call with The Video Journal of Oncology (VJOncology).
