ESMO Breast 2024 | Advancements in metastatic ER+ breast cancer at ESMO Breast 2024

Eva Ciruelos, MD, PhD, Hospital 12 de Octubre, Madrid, Spain, shares key insights from the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Breast 2024 Congress on metastatic ER+ breast cancer. Highlights include promising results from trials with durvalumab, fulvestrant, and olaparib for germline BRCA and HR-mutated patients showing good efficacy and tolerability. Long-term data from CAPItello-291 (NCT04305496) demonstrated significant improvements in progression-free survival and time to chemotherapy. Updates on datopotamab’s safety profile, focusing on ocular mucositis and interstitial lung disease (ILDs), were also discussed.
