Ronan Kelly, MD, MBA, Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, TX discusses the effectiveness of adjuvant nivolumab for the treatment of esophageal and gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) cancers. Results found patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) responded favorably to treatment, but efficacy was lower in patients with GEJ cancers. The availability of such peri-operative options is important when determining the best course of individualized patient care. This interview took place at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) meeting in Chicago, IL.
