AACR 2022 | Prolonging the survival of high-grade glioma patients

Soma Sengupta, MD, PhD, FRCP, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH, and Pier Paolo Claudio, MD, PhD, University of Mississippi, Jackson, MS, discuss potential methods for prolonging the survival of patients with recurrent high-grade glioma (HGG). For example, survival could be prolonged by optimizing the way immunotherapies work so they can efficiently cross the blood-brain barrier. Additionally, survival could be prolonged by having a more stratified vaccination approach to HGG. Furthermore, existing drugs and natural pharmaceuticals could help prolong survival. This interview took place at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2022 in New Orleans, LA.
