AACR 2022 | The importance of personalized medicine for treating advanced gliomas

Soma Sengupta, MD, PhD, FRCP, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH, and Pier Paolo Claudio, MD, PhD, University of Mississippi, Jackson, MS outline the importance of personalized therapies for patients with advanced gliomas, as the heterogeneity of the disease means that one therapy does not fit all. The ChemoID platform is a way of functionalising and understanding which chemotherapy will work best for each patient. It is currently applied in the recurrent setting but has the potential to be deployed in the upfront setting. This interview took place at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2022 in New Orleans, LA.
