GU Cancers 2024 | How can AI and machine learning influence treatment decisions in bladder cancer?

Bishoy Faltas, MD, Weill Cornell Medicine, New York, NY, comments on the potential role of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) in guiding the management of bladder cancer. For patients who have undergone a transurethral resection, established algorithms can analyze histopathology slides and RNA sequencing data to establish whether a patients can be spared a cystectomy based on their likelihood of achieving a compete response.
