WCLC 2026 | Amivantamab plus lazertinib as a new standard-of-care for metastatic EGFRm NSCLC?
Balazs Halmos, MD, Montefiore Medical Center, New York, NY, explores the impact of the COPERNICUS (NCT06667076) trial evaluating subcutaneous amivantamab in metastatic EGFR-mutated (EGFRm) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Subcutaneous amivantamab showed better rates of key adverse events than the intravenous formulation, particularly of rashes, thromboembolic events and administration-related reactions, and has been shown to improve life expectancy in patients with NSCLC. The subcutaneous formulation also improves convenience for patients and healthcare professionals. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
