WCLC 2026 | Subcutaneous amivantamab shows fewer IRRs over IV in NSCLC

Balazs Halmos, MD, Montefiore Medical Center, New York, NY, compares rates of administration-related reactions with subcutaneous versus intravenous (IV) amivantamab in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), investigated in the COPERNICUS (NCT06667076) and MARIPOSA (NCT04487080) trials respectively. With the IV formulation, infusion-related reactions (IRRs) were common, happening to 55% of patients, with 5% at grade 3 or higher. In contrast, administration-related reactions to subcutaneous amivantamab were uncommon, with a rate of 3% and 1% at grade 3 or higher. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
