Brian Henick, MD, Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, New York, NY, explores the role of low-level copy number deletions of chromosome 19p genes such as STK11, KEAP1, and SMARCA4 in lung adenocarcinoma. Chromosome 19p deletions are associated with reduced immune infiltrates and decreased immune gene expression. Gains in the same chromosome, whilst rare, conversely correlated with improved benefit from immunotherapy. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
