Tian Zhang, MD, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, gives an overview of the Phase II BOOST-RCC trial (NCT06284564), which assesses evolocumab, a PCSK9 inhibitor, with nivolumab in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC) refractory to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). By enhancing MHC-I expression and tumor antigen presentation, this strategy aims to overcome immunotherapy resistance. Primary endpoints include objective response rates and safety. Enrollment is ongoing, with preliminary data expected to provide insights into the potential role of PCSK9 inhibition in improving immunotherapy efficacy. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
