SABCS 2024 | Optimizing antibody-drug conjugates with computational modelling

Melissa Calopiz, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, explores the use of SimADC, a computational model for designing and evaluating antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). By simulating immune cell interactions and payload release mechanisms, this approach aims to enhance ADC design, reduce toxicity, and improve therapeutic outcomes, especially in low-expression systems like those treated with trastuzumab deruxtecan. This interview took place at the 2024 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) congress in San Antonio, TX.
