ASCO GI 2025 | Recent progress in immunotherapy-induced GI toxicity research

Yinghong Wang, MD, PhD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, comments on the progress made in immunotherapy-induced upper and lower GI toxicity, highlighting the successful enrollment of patients in fecal transplantation trials and randomized infliximab, vedolizumab trials for immunotherapy-induced colitis, with expected trial closures within the next three months. Dr Wang also notes the upcoming publication of a second immunotherapy toxicity book featuring 60 cases from 14 academic centers globally, aiming to provide educational benefits to the public. This interview took place at the ASCO GI Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
