Wungki Park, MD, MS, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, discusses the Phase II POLAR trial (NCT04666740) of pembrolizumab and olaparib maintenance in patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer (mPC) with homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) or platinum-sensitive disease. The study showing an encouraging six-month progression-free survival (PFS) in HRD-positive patients, and adverse events included grade 3-4 anemia, pancreatitis, and colitis. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
