LAG-3 inhibitors represent a new generation of immunotherapies, potentially having a role in the management of melanoma with PD-1 and CTLA-4 inhibitors. Relatlimab, in combination with nivolumab, is the first LAG-3 inhibitor to be indicated for untreated melanoma.
