Melanoma Skin Cancer Antibodies Checkpoint Inhibitors Nivolumab Relatlimab

LAG-3 inhibitors represent a new generation of immunotherapies, potentially having a role in the management of melanoma with PD-1 and CTLA-4 inhibitors. Meredith McKean, MD, Sarah Cannon Research Institute, Nashville, TN, gives an overview of current LAG-3 inhibitors being assessed in melanoma. Relatlimab, in combination with nivolumab, is the first LAG-3 inhibitor to be indicated for untreated melanoma. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
